Ya Gotta Do What Ya Gotta Do

After talking with a mentor of mine, it had come to my attention that I am running my self a little too thin. Which is totally correct. I have always wanted to become a game developer and I am damn determined to make it into the industry. Nearly 3 years have gone by and I was working 4 jobs (only 1 paid) , going to school, and having to make sure to still spend time with my Fiance every once in a while. I have been taking any opportunity to be apart of anything related to the gaming industry located near me, as well as work for 3 different Indie start up Game Development companies.

I pretty much have come to the realization that I can take a step back now as proving myself is no longer the issue, as the issue now has become being spread so thin that I am unable to give everyone quality work. I want to be able to give everyone quality work, but it's really hard to do when there is no income coming in.

So in order to improve my quality of work, my life at home, and other reasons, I decided to take a step back from Raid+ Interactive at least until I am finished with school. It wasn't an easy decision to make, as I really love working with them. I mean, Raid+ is my graduating class turned into a actual start up Indie game development company. Of course I want to be apart of that! At the same time though, the other two companies I am apart of is finally starting to see some revenue finally. With the coming semesters coming up, and with me getting married next year, I didn't feel that I would be able to produce the quality work that my fellow developers at Raid+ would expect out of me.

So as my learning experience continues, and after I finish school with two associate degrees and a technical diploma, I am hoping to be able to re-join with the awesome team at Raid+. Until then, I wish them the best of luck! I will be keeping my eye on them of course :) Giving them the proper shout outs and likes on social media when I can.
